Terms of Use

Last updated 2026-11-05

About these terms

Yumeet is run by the Yumeet developer (the seller named on our App Store page) ("we"). By creating an account you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. They are offered in English and Traditional Chinese; both have the same effect, and if anything is unclear it is read in the way more favourable to you.

Who can use Yumeet

You must be at least 18 years old. One account per person. Your profile must be about you and use real, recent photos of you. You may not use Yumeet if we have removed you before.

Your account

Keep your sign-in secure. You are responsible for what happens on your account. Tell us right away if you think someone else is using it.

Zero tolerance

We do not tolerate objectionable content or abusive users. Do not post, send or do any of the following:
• nudity, sexual content, or intimate images of anyone shared without their consent, including AI-made or edited ones
• harassment, threats, stalking, hate or discrimination, on or off the app
• offering or asking for sex, escort or "sugar" arrangements
• scams, asking for money, selling, advertising or recruiting
• pretending to be someone else or using other people's photos
• sharing someone else's personal details or chat screenshots to shame them
• anything involving minors, illegal drugs, weapons or other illegal acts
We may remove content and suspend or delete accounts that break these rules.

Safety rules that depend on gender

To reduce harassment, some rules depend on the gender on your profile:
• Women-only rooms opened by a woman: the host and everyone who joins must pass the face check.
• Messages, requests, room text and profiles written by men or by users without a gender are checked against a harassment word list.
• Photo rules: nudity and sexual acts are blocked for everyone; "very suggestive" photos are allowed only on women's profiles.
You cannot change your gender yourself after setting it; contact us to fix a mistake. If you think one of these rules treated you unfairly, contact us.

Verification

The face check means a Yumeet reviewer matched a live selfie to some of your photos at that time. It does not prove who someone is, their age, intentions or history. Yumeet does NOT run criminal background checks on users.

Reporting, blocking and moderation

You can report or block anyone from their profile, a room or a chat message. A user you report is blocked for you right away. Uploads are checked automatically and reports are reviewed by people; we aim to review reports within 24 hours. We may remove content, limit features, suspend or delete accounts. To appeal a decision, email us within 30 days.

Dining rooms and meetups

Hosts set the restaurant, time, seats and who can join. Meet only at the restaurant and pay for your own meal unless everyone agreed otherwise. Yumeet connects people; it is not a party to the meetup and does not employ hosts. The restaurant is responsible for its food and service.

Fair use

Daily room limits, check-in and no-show rules exist so meetups happen. Repeated no-shows or abuse of these rules can lead to fewer slots or a temporary suspension.

Partner discounts

Restaurant offers are provided by the restaurant. They may change or end, and each code can be used once.

Paid features

Yumeet is free right now. If we add paid features, they will be sold only through the App Store or Google Play, the price and renewal terms will be shown before you pay, and you can cancel in your store account settings. Refunds follow Apple's or Google's rules.

Your content

You own what you post. You give us a non-exclusive, free licence to store, show and check it (for example, for moderation) only to run Yumeet. The licence ends when you delete it or your account, except copies kept as the Privacy Policy describes (reports and encrypted backups). Only post content you have the right to share.

Suspension and deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We may suspend or delete accounts that break these Terms or the law, or that put others at risk. When we can, we tell you why.

Our responsibility

We run Yumeet with reasonable care but cannot promise it is always available or error-free. We are not responsible for what other users say or do, on the app or at meetups, unless the harm was caused by our intent or gross negligence, or the law does not allow this limit. Nothing in these Terms takes away your rights under Taiwan's Consumer Protection Act or other laws that protect you.

Changes

If we make important changes, we will tell you in the app at least 7 days before they take effect. If you do not agree, you can delete your account; continuing to use Yumeet means you accept the new Terms.

Law and disputes

These Terms follow the laws of Taiwan (R.O.C.). Disputes go to the Taiwan Taipei District Court as the court of first instance, unless the law lets you choose another court.
